The Educational Series for Photographers

You know when you hear something for the first time, and then you hear it again, and you feel like it’s a sign?

This happened to me last Easter. At morning Mass, Father’s sermon reflected on a particular verse, and then again at church worship, our preacher happened to speak on the same verse! I have always believed that God speaks to all of us in different ways, and this was one of those times I felt him tug at my heart strings. The verse? 1 Peter 4:10, and it says “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” This weighed heavily on my heart for a while and I knew God was telling me it was time. 

I have always believed that it was my responsibility to give back in the way of education to others, I just never felt like I was ready, or that anyone would care about what I have to say. I always felt like I needed to be the best at what I did and have this huge following, like most of the educators I know and have learned from. But it’s funny how God doesn’t care about any of that, and when He says it’s time, then it’s time!

I am excited to be working on a new blog series, just for photographers! A way to learn the ins and outs of running a business, photography tips and tricks for sessions, and so much more! A lot of the topics for this series will involve questions I had when I first started out, the things I did right AND wrong, and how I learned to grow in difficult situations. My hope with this series is that you’ll be able to walk away with valuable information to help you build and shape a thriving, purposeful business!
