Being a photographer is the greatest blessing I could have ever asked for! I get to spend every day serving the kindest people and making new friends!
I started this business a little over 5 years ago, and two years in, I realized I was doing it all wrong! I had just attended my very first photography conference and I learned it was time to invest in myself and my business.
That same year I decided to attend a 2-day photography workshop to gain a new insight on the wedding industry, and also invest in a mentor. This was a huge step out of my introverted comfort zone, but I knew if I wanted to succeed, I needed to make that step.
Mentoring sessions are great for anyone who is just starting their photography business and wants to make sure they get started on the right foot! I also love helping established photographers who may be struggling to get to that next step in their business!
Community over competition, this is my calling, to serve my couples AND my colleagues. I remember what it was like to feel so confused and defeated at times, with no one there to really tell you what to expect. I don't want that for you! It is my hope that each photographer grow in confidence and love, knowing that each step they take is one step closer to the business they have dreamed of.
Whether you just bought your camera or you’ve been a photographer for a few years, I am here to encourage and support you, and give you the resources and knowledge to help you grow your business and reach your goals! I have an "open book policy", which means you can ask me anything you want and I will tell you my experience, my opinion, and my suggestion on it. Every mentor session is tailored to the individual and their specific needs.
Mentoring can take place in person or via Zoom video chat. In-person sessions will take place at my home office in Arlington, TX.
Mentoring sessions are available Tuesday through Friday from 9am-8pm. Limited weekend times may be available. Please reach out for availability!
There are two options for mentoring, hourly meetings or a full day workshop. Hourly meetings are great for photographers who only need help in a few areas of their business. The full day workshop is geared towards newer photographers who are ready to start their business or photographers who may be looking for more advanced help. If you're unsure of which option would be the best option for you, please feel free to fill out the contact form below and let me know what you're looking for!
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Photography and I've mentored with some of the best wedding photographers in the industry (Luke and Cat, Katelyn James, Hope Taylor, etc.). I've taken numerous courses and mentoring with IPS photographers, so I can assist more than just wedding photographers.
I hate fluffy education and the word “competition”. I will give exact information and answer every single question without excluding anything to anyone who asks. I will always give them my secrets if I believe it will help them be successful. A rising tide lifts all boats!
The most amazing thing about businesses are that they are all unique! There is not a "one size fits all" plan when it comes to business strategy. Because of this, I like to keep my sessions simple. You get to choose how much help you want and what you want to learn!
In-Person and Online Mentoring sessions are $125 an hour.
Full Day, One-on-One Workshop is $700 and includes unlimited access to me for 3 months following your workshop.
You're right! You can totally figure everything out on your own and spend nothing. But will you get it all right the first time? Will you find the answers you need? How long will it take you to do it all yourself?
Mentoring is an investment! I pride myself on being a no-nonsense educator, and I don't take your investment lightly. So, let me explain exactly why mentoring is such a big investment:
finding your niche & style
how to attract & book your ideal client
shooting & posing in a way where your clients look their best, but feel and look themselves
working with different kinds of lighting
workflow & client management system
goal setting & constructive criticism on your work and/or website
pricing & contracts
understanding your CODB and COGS
running a legal business
advertising & social media / where to spend your money & time
emails & client interaction
website & blogging
choosing product vendors
