Alece & Bubba’s Engagement Session

This past weekend we met up with Alece and Bubba at their beautiful property in Covington, Texas for their engagement session! Like so many of our couples, when we had our initial consultation with Alece and Bubba, they expressed their concerns about feeling awkward when it comes to taking pictures. In fact, they told us that Bubba absolutely HATES taking photos. Well, in the words of Barney Stinson, “Challenge Accepted!”

Their beautiful property is now one of my favorite locations ever! They share their land with family and have lots of wonderful farm animals! Goats, chickens, horses, dogs and a little donkey named Jack Jack. We were in animal heaven! We started our session down the way on a quiet, dirt road with gorgeous tress towering over it. Alece says that this road is covered with Mustang Grapes in the summer and often comes down here to pick them to make homemade jelly! She also told us that she is making a special wine out of the grapes for their wedding next year! This spot was absolutely perfect and we had so much fun teaching these two our four core poses to get started.

We finished our time together walking through their land looking for the perfect spots! To our surprise, their horses were super excited about having their photos taken! When we went back into the pen, they all came running and were so stinkin’ friendly! And then Alece’s little furbaby, Luke, helped guide us through the land as we took photos! We could not have asked for a more perfect evening! Between the weather, the golden sun rays, and our sweet model couple, we had the trifecta!!

Remember when they said they were awkward in front of the camera? Well, looking at these images, I think it’s safe to say that’s not true at all! We absolutely LOVE seeing their big, happy smiles throughout this session, and there was no shortage of laughs during our time! If this session is any indication of how their wedding day is going to go, I think we are in for the best day ever!
