I am so excited to bring you a fun post today! Every year I choose one aspect of photography or business to really focus on and grow in. For 2020 I chose to invest my time and education into a styling kit and image curation! Styling wedding details is a wonderful way to showcase all the beautiful and personal things that our brides work so hard on for their wedding day. Invitations, florals, jewelry, anything and everything has a story and a purpose, and I love telling it!
It never ceases to amaze me that I have some of the most talented colleagues in the wedding photography industry! About a month or so ago I came across Kassie’s post looking for beta testers for an idea of a styled subscription box called Style by Trial. Kassie owns K Layne Styled and has created some amazing styled shoots and workshops for fellow photographers and vendors. Her passion for helping others grow their creative spirit is absolutely amazing and I am super excited to be a part of this new adventure for her!
And so begins my own adventure as a Style by Trial Beta Tester! Let’s talk a little about this fabulous subscription, shall we?! The idea behind Style by Trial is a monthly subscription box that would include 3-5 incredible styling additions to your wedding day detail accessories, put your styling skills to the test, and have fun working with US-based small business sourced items! Each kit also comes with a fun challenge to use the items in each box. You will have the chance to share your best detail shots to win prizes and get discounts! Doesn’t this sound like fun?!
As a beta tester, my first step was to test out the website and ordering process. I love the fact that you have two options for your subscription box! When you are on the site, you’ll see your first option is to purchase the whole Kit and Caboodle. This option allows you to keep everything that’s delivered that month, forever! Your second option is the “Try-Before-You-buy” Kit. This option covers your subscription fee and allows you to try out the items in your box to see what you want to keep! You’ll have a short trial period to play around with the items and then you can decide to purchase the items that you would like to keep or ship them back!

In each box you receive a booklet detailing all the vendors and their products, along with a challenge description! If you purchase the “Try-Before-You-buy” Kit, you will be given a price list of the individual items in each box. When your trial period is up, you will receive an email that includes instructions on how to purchase the items you wish to keep. Or how to ship the remaining items back. Although, believe me when I say, you’ll want to keep them all!!!!
