One of my favorite things about this industry is the collaborations we get to do! DFW literally has thousands of enormously talented wedding vendors and I have loved getting to know so many through these editorial collaborations as a wedding photographer.

This particular editorial has been one of the best as I finally got to create something amazing with a great friend and fellow photographer, Jennifer, of JL Glamour Photography! She and I have been wanting to host a styled editorial for a while now, and this year, we made it happen!

Our creative focus was centered around the 2021 Pantone Color of the Year, Illuminating, which is a beautiful golden I yellow! We chose to accent it with different shades of greens, creams and whites through florals, rentals and stationery designs.

We brought in Melissa, of Melissa Terry Events, to help coordinate and gave her the task of assembling an amazing team of vendors. Boy did she deliver! This vendor team worked so hard to bring this vision of our to life and I am so happy that they were involved! And the best part is, I had never worked with most of them! I absolutely love meeting new vendors and expanding my referral list. Being able to give clients options of different vendors is so important to me, so this was awesome to be able to add new names to the list!

I’m also going to do a little cross-promotion as this was the first editorial collaboration for our sister company Flora Creek Place!! I created the “LOVE” featured on the cake table! It was so cool to be able to represent both my businesses, especially the flower preservation, in one shoot!
