Hello my friends! I’m so excited for this #VendorFeatureFriday! Today we’re talking to Tessa from Oak & Honey Woodworks. Tessa and Todd are a husband and wife woodworking duo! We connected with them through The Ruche Collective and have loved getting to know them and work with them. Whether you’re looking for special rentals for your wedding day or a custom sign for your home or business, their craftsmanship and attention to detail are unmatched! Tell us a little bit about your background, how you got into woodworking and the wedding industry?
Married to Todd for 10 years now. I am a stay at home mom. I went to school to be a nurse.
We started woodworking in 2020. A friend asked us to make her a few things. She shared them and we did as well. More people began to ask us to build pieces for them and it took off.
I have always wanted to do something fun in the wedding industry. Wedding/event rentals fit well with the wood working that we do. We can build the pieces ourselves and then rent them to brides/grooms to be a small part to such a great big day.
What is the process for having custom pieces made or renting pieces for events?
Anyone can reach out to us through our email or website. From there I will ask specifically what your idea is and then we make it come to life. Details are a big deal to me. I want to make sure that we make a piece for you that you love. I will update you and bring you along for the whole process. Anyone can reach out to us through our email or website. When should someone inquire about rentals or having a custom piece made?
If you are getting married or having an event, you’ll need to book at least 1-2 months in advance. If you’re wanting to have a custom piece, or pieces, we have a 6-8 week turnaround time. Since every piece is made by hand and customized perfectly for you, we don’t like to rush orders.
