It’s blog day for Lisa and Ralph and their #LetLoveGrow wedding day at the incredible Hidden Gardens wedding venue in Azle, Texas! Everything about this day was so incredibly beautiful. From their sweet succulent potted favors to our stunning golden hour portrait time, we are over-the-moon about this day!

Should we take a quick trip back in time to when we met Lisa and Ralph?! I think so! Lisa reached out to us at the recommendation of Shelly, the Hidden Gardens Venue owner, after they booked with her back in September of 2019. Her inquiry had me smiling from ear to ear, and when they came in for their consult, we just knew they were a perfect match for us!

They both work for the US Postal Service, and that’s how they met! Lisa was new and Ralph helped her learn all the ropes and they became great friends. My grandfather was a mail carrier for over 30 years, so we had an instant connection there! And their engagement story is even sweeter!

For Lisa’s 30th birthday, Ralph and Lisa’s mom planned a birthday party for her When she stood up to thank everyone for coming Ralph stood by her and, in the middle of her speech, got down on one knee. He told her that she means the world to him and loves her so much and asked if she would marry him! Well, she’s not sure if she actually said yes through all the tears, but she took the ring, so that kind of counted as a yes, LOL! Want to see their engagement session? CLICK HERE!

On wedding day everything started with all the details!!! We had absolutely beautiful weather, and perfect light for all of their wonderful details. Lisa had everything in a bag and ready for us when we got there. Her dress, shoes, rings, and she actually sent us her invitation in the mail so we had that on hand as well! And of course we can’t forget Ralph’s details! All ready, and in his room were his shoes, tie, cufflinks, cologne and boutonniere.

They did such a great job of incorporating their Let Love Grow theme and colors though out their day in this beautiful garden wedding venue.

Once we were done with details, we spent some time with the girls and guys while they got ready and then it was time to get Lisa in her dress! Her mom and sister helped with the final touches and with that, we were ready for the first look! Of course, this is one of our favorite parts of the day, and Lisa and Ralph’s First Look is no different! So incredibly sweet!

After the First Look, we headed down stairs for some bride and groom portrait time! As we’re shooting, Ralph is whispering in Lisa’s ear and she just has the biggest smile! We found out, it was because he was singing “You are so beautiful” to her! Of course, this old romantic just melted! Lisa and Ralph also opted to get all their family formals done before the ceremony, so we did set everyone up for shots, and then we all got ready for them to walk down the aisle!

Their ceremony was so incredibly touching! Ralph’s brother officiated their ceremony and had such a sweet speech prepared. He did an amazing job for this being his first time to officiate! Lisa and Ralph exchanged rings, pledging themselves to each other forever and finally became man and wife!!

Following the ceremony, cocktail hour began and we had more time for some gorgeous sunset portraits with Ralph and Lisa! These two are so incredibly photogenic, we had so many fantastic portraits come from their big day! And we had so much fun the whole time!!

Reception time began with the introduction of the newly weds, their first dance and then everyone was released for dinner!
