We have Instagram to thank for meeting Elizabeth and Gerard! Elizabeth and I have been “following” each other on Instagram for a while now, and I was delighted to get a message from her back in January asking about an engagement session! In our initial correspondence, Elizabeth had told me they have put off engagement portraits for a while because Gerard did not like to have his portrait taken. I’m hearing all the grooms in the background going “Yep!” LOL!
With Save-the-Dates on her mind, we knew we’d have to get a session in quickly. We decided to all meet up for dinner to get to know one another and help Gerard feel more comfortable with us and get excited about doing a session! Elizabeth suggested Mariano’s, just off 360 in Arlington for some good authentic Mexican food and come to find out, that is where they went for one of their first dates together! I LOVE IT!!! We had such a great time getting to know each other and planning their session and before we knew it, Gerard was on board!
Fast forward a few weeks later to their session day! We had originally planned to shoot at Lake Grapevine, but with it being winter and the recent rain, it wasn’t ideal for the vision we all had. A last minute change and we all met up at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden! We were so excited to finally have a beautiful, sun-shiney day after all the rain, and we were all just swooning over our golden light! If you look real hard, you can see Gerard having some fun too!
Congratulations Elizabeth and Gerard!! We had the most amazing time with you guys and we are so excited for the two of you and journey you about to commit too! Cheers to October 18, 2019!!!
