DIY Wedding Planning Binder
Congratulations!!! You just got engaged and now it’s time to plan the biggest day of your life! Wedding planning can be a very stressful process…but only if you let it. The best way make planning easier and to stay stress-free is to stay organized. Creating a planning binder is quick and easy and will have you planning your wedding in no time.
Let’s get started! Here is a list of things you will need to create your planning binder:
~1″-2″ binder
~tab dividers
~sticky notes
~colorful pens
~highlighters
~clear sheet protectors to hold business cards and receipts
~zipper pocket for pens
~hole puncher for vendor info sheets and contracts
~loose notebook paper to keep notes
Here is a list of categories to choose from for the tabs in your binder:
~Budget
~Guests
~Invites
~Ceremony
~Reception
~Attire
~Beauty
~Photographer
~Videographer
~Florist
~Caterer
~Cake
~DJ/Entertainment
~Legalities (Marriage License, Name Changing, etc.)
~Registry Information
~Rehearsal Dinner
~Honeymoon
Now you may not need all of these categories, and that’s ok. There might even be some categories that I haven’t listed. Every wedding is different, so feel free to use any categories that will be the most beneficial to you.
Now…here’s the fun part…time to assemble and personalize! Every bride and every wedding is unique, therefore there is no right or wrong way to do this. It can be as simple or as embellished as you want it to be. The important thing is that you have everything categorized to suit your needs for your wedding.
For my wedding binder I used a picture of me and my husband as the cover of my binder *aawwwww* so cute! Next, I label all my divider tabs with the categories I’ve chose from the list above. I place those in the binder along with a few of the clear page protectors in between each category to hold any related documents.
Now it’s time to fill the binder! Of course you can make your own sheets or find some free ones online, or you can purchase one already made and beautiful!
