This beautiful ranch wedding has us over the moon! Even though this journey for Alece and Bubba has been a difficult one, their love for each other completely outshines all the darkness of these times! We knew the moment we met Alece at the Mid Cities Bridal show that we were going to love her. Then she and Bubba came to our home for a consultation and it was just further confirmation that this was a going to be a perfect match!
The story of how they met is a fun one! Alece was having trouble with her car so her mom called a mechanic she knew to come help her. That mechanic, turns out, was Bubba! He came over and fixed the problem, but the next day he got a message that the check engine light had come back on! When he went back to see what happened, turns out Alece may or may not have made that up just so she could see him again! And did I mention Bubba had a motorcycle? Well, that was it for Alece! One ride into the sunset and that was the beginning of their forever!!
About a month after we booked, we had their engagement session! Alece and Bubba told us during the consult that Bubba wasn’t too fond of having pictures done. Well we’re no stranger to that of course, but we may have changed his mind a little once he found out how talented he was at it! Want to see them? Check out their engagement session here!
Wedding day arrives and we are so thankful for gorgeous weather! Their sweet outdoor ceremony space was surrounded by all of their guests’ tables and Alece did a fantastic job with all of her decorations! After the girls were done getting ready, Alece and her father had their father/daughter first look. Alece had a special gift made just for him and, needless to say, he was so full of emotions!
Bubba was adamant about not seeing Alece in her gown before they got married, but Alece really wanted to make sure they had a little extra time for portraits since they were having a later ceremony. So naturally we decided to do a “No Look First Look” with everyone! We started off at the house and did a sweet photo of them on either side, and Alece’s smile says everything! After that we walked out to the stables to get a few portraits of the two of them, still where Bubba can’t see her, and then we did a few with the bridal party as well! It was a success!
Their ceremony was so incredibly sweet! Their dear friend officiated and of course began with the funny story of how they met. Alece and Bubba chose to do a unity sand ceremony, which is one of my favorites! The unity sand ceremony is a tradition in which a couple pours sand from separate vessels into a unified, central one. It represents two people coming together in marriage. They said their “I do’s”, exchanged rings and officially became husband and wife!!!
Now comes my favorite part… Bride and Groom portraits!!! The light was absolutely perfect for these shots and all the animals came out to photobomb as well! I cannot get over how Alece and Bubba look into each others eyes! Their portraits are simply stunning!!!
The reception was full of amazing food, cooked up by the Bride and Groom themselves, and lots of laughter and good times with friends! You know the first dances always get me teary-eyed, and these were no different! We had such an amazing time with everyone and we are so honored to have been able to be a part of this beautiful ranch wedding day with two people who are sincerely the sweetest we have ever known!
Congratulations Alece and Bubba! We are so honored to have been apart of this journey with you. May God continue to bless you and your new marriage!
