“For they say when you marry in June, you will always be a bride!” This saying is from my favorite musical, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers! It’s why I got married in June and why I have a special place in my heart for all my June Brides! And now, Madison has joined our special group! Hooray!! Where do I even start with this wedding?! We have enjoyed every minute of working with Madison, Aaron and their amazing families! We met Madison, Aaron and Madison’s mom, Rhonda, back in January after Rhonda had seen us serve at Kenley and Victor’s wedding last winter. We knew right away that these two and their families would be the perfect fit for us!
That next weekend we joined Madison and Aaron at the Botanic Gardens in Fort Worth for their engagement session! One of the things Madison mentioned was how awkward Aaron is when taking pictures. Well I think it’s safe to say that Aaron rocked his posing and had some of the best smiles! We all had such a great time at the gardens and then we finished the evening with their vintage family car in a beautiful field close to their home! You can see their amazing engagement session HERE!
And now it’s time for wedding day!! Being June in Texas, I know the first thing you’re thinking is the weather, but it may not be the weather you’re actually thinking of. Although the day started off sunny and beautiful, there was a threat of storms close to when the ceremony was planned to take place! Luckily, Madison and Aaron chose to do a First Look before their ceremony! This allowed us plenty of time to get those gorgeously lit Bride and Groom portraits and even get the family formal portraits done before the weather got crazy! I’ll never forget Madison’s face when she saw Aaron for the first time! First Looks aren’t always about the groom, you guys, sometimes they’re just as exciting for the bride!
Their ceremony was the absolute sweetest with a dear loved one taking the reins as the officiant! There were lots of happy tears to go around! One of my favorite parts of the wedding, seeing their bridal party standing so strong beside them as they pledged their lives to each other. I had learned later on that one of Madison’s Bridesmen had stepped in at the last minute to stand by her side. That, my friends, is true friendship and just goes to show you what kind of person Madison is that she would have such strong and loving friends that are there for her! I just love this couple!!! Everything you see in this day, decor, set up, cake, and more, all done with love by the couple’s friends and family!
After Madison and Aaron sealed their promise with a kiss, we finished all their family formals and headed to the reception barn to get the party started!!! Of course, it wasn’t long after we all made it inside, that the summer storm made it’s way to us. But that didn’t stop this group from having such a great time! Everyone was smiling as Madison, her mom and dad all took to the dance floor together and then we all got a little teary-eyed as Aaron and his mom shared their sweet dance together. Good food, good fun, and good friends! We ended the night with tons of dancing, the garter and bouquet tosses and of course, the YMCA! We may have dragged it out a little long, just waiting for a break in the rain so we could send off the happy couple! But it finally cleared and we were able to light their getaway with sparklers!
Congratulations Madison and Aaron!! Thank you for allowing us to be a part of this amazing journey with you and your families. We pray that your marriage will always grow and strengthen, and with each year, you fall more and more in love with each other! You two are the best!!
